My story
My name is Claire and I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor. I am also qualified to practice ‘Walk & Talk’ Therapy in the great outdoors.
With a focus in low mood, self esteem, anxiety, depression, relationships and grief. In addition I have a particular interest in ADHD, PTSD & other conditions.
Unexpected tragedy and subsequent shock led me to retrain as a counsellor. During this time, grief began to show up in such a way that I couldn’t ignore it, which led me to seek help. Somewhat reluctantly I followed my doctor’s advice to have some counselling and to this day am deeply grateful to him for suggesting it. It was life-changing and transformative. I subsequently changed my career so that I could help others. I have several years’ experience of working in person-centred counselling practice at Mind, Peterborough Counselling Centre and YANA. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure I work safely, ethically and in accordance with UK law.
